Mr. Marcus Masemola was born in Middelburg Mpumalanga. He is the last son of Mrs. Johanna Masemola and the Late Nathaniel Masemola. Marcus was raised by a single parent which is his mother. His father pass on while he was very young.
He studied at Reatlegile Primary School and then proceeded to Thushanang Higher Primary School. He completed his Grade 12 at Sofunda Secondary School in the year 2000.
Marcus furthered his studies and did PC Technologist at Damelin Computer School. Thereafter he started to work as a Personal Assistant at a legal company called Nkadimeng Legal Assistance.
Mr. Masemola was then employed at Steve Tshwete Local Municpality as the Outreach Officer of the Youth Advisory Center. He furthered his studies at Wits University and did the New Managers Programme. After completing the New Manager Programme he was promoted to be the Youth Manager of Steve Tshwete Local Municipality.
He continued to study and enrolled at University of Johannesburg and did Municipal Governance. He was promoted to be an Assistant Director Youth Development at Steve Tshwete Local Municipality.
Mr. Masemola again furthered his studies at Wits Business School and he did a Certificate Programme in Management Development for Municipal Finance CPMD NQF level 6.
Mr. Masemola served on the following structures:
- Optimum Colliery Community Trust (Chairperson),
- Moral Regeneration Movement (Coordinator)
- Chairperson of the Local Drug Action Committee in Steve Tshwete Local Municipality
Mr Marcus Masemola was hosted by Linda Ntuli on Tshwane TV in a programme called ADAM.
He was further invited as panellist member in the Commemoration of Africa Decentralization Day in August 2017 invited by the Minister of Corporative Governance Mr. Des Van Rooyen.
Mr. Masemola, through his interaction with different stakeholders, has produce Dr’s, Engineers, Musician, Lawyers, Accountants, Pharmacist, Geologist, Business Managers, Artisans Plumbers, Educators etc.
Mr. Marcus Masemola has been appointed in June 2017 as the Chairperson of Mpumalanga Substance Abuse Forum for 5 years by the MEC of Social Development Honourable MEC Shiba.
Mr. Masemola is currently a mentor and life coach, motivational speaker, reverend, qualified workshop facilitator and marriage counsellor. Mr Masemola is a part time guest on Ikwekwezi FM Educational Programmes produced by Pat Kabini. He has shared national platforms on SABC 2 with the Deputy Minister Buti Manamela. Marcus believe that there is great potential that must be unleashed in each and every individual. He strongly believe that we are all called for a purpose which is to fullfill the assignment we are given.
