Every Child Matters 100% Pass Rate is Possible
Eastdene Combined School appointed STG Consulting Enterprise to conduct a team-building session involving the school SGB, SMT, educators, learners, and all employees of the school. The objective was to unite everyone towards achieving the best academic results for the year 2024.
The team-building topics included:
- The Importance of Teamwork
- How to Maintain Discipline in Our School
- Every Child Matters
The team building session was addressed by Mr Daniel Makuse, the Number One Circuit manager in Mpumalanga for the academic year 2023, representing the Department of education. Additionally, presentations were made by Mr Jones from the School Governing Body (SGB), representing the parents, the principal as the Head of the School, representing the School Management Team (SMT), a teacher representative, and a learner’s representative.
Teamwork in schools is vital for numerous reasons, as it fosters a supportive and dynamic learning environment. The benefits of teamwork in educational settings include:
- Collaboration: Students and educators working together enhance learning outcomes.
- Trust and Responsibility: Team efforts build mutual trust and a sense of responsibility among students and teachers.
- Communication: Improved communication skills are a natural result of effective teamwork.
- Conducive Environment: A collaborative approach creates a positive atmosphere for both teaching and learning.
Working collectively to achieve shared objectives promotes harmony, facilitating an optimal environment for educators to instruct and students to learn.
Following the team-building session, targets were agreed upon, and an action plan was drafted with clearly defined roles and responsibilities. Throughout the year, the STG Director, Mr Marcus Masemola, consistently motivated the Grade 12 learners each term, encouraging them to study diligently and strive for success in their final examinations.
During the grade 12 pledge day, STG Director Mr Masemola stated that if the five learners who did not pass the trial exam worked hard and passed their grade 12 exam, they would receive R1500 each. This was intended to motivate them by conveying that failure is not the end and that they have another chance to succeed.
Eastdene Combined School achieved a 100% pass rate for all grade 12 students in the 2024 academic results. This outcome was attributed to the efforts initiated during the team-building activities conducted by STG Consulting Enterprise at the beginning of 2024.
The five learners who did not pass the trial exams eventually succeeded. Motivation, commitment, teamwork, and dedication helped the school achieve 100%. If you want your school to achieve a 100% pass rate for grade 12 learners, consider partnering with STG Consulting Enterprise.
