STG Consulting Enterprise hosted one of the greatest and informative event called “The Road To Marriage Conversation”, on the 27th of October at Phetshile Guesthouse in Middelburg Mpumalanga.
The event was about advising single people about the road to marriage, discussing the do’s and don’ts towards marriage.
The objective of the event was:
– To promote good marriage amongst single people
– To educate and to empower single people to make the right choices and decisions towards the road to marriage.
– Promote the understanding and wisdom around dating matters.
Nonkululeko Sinethemba Shabangu was the one directing the program.
The Road To Marriage Conversation was led by Mr Marcus Masemola who is married, unpacking the most asked questions:
– How do I know I’m ready for marriage?
– How do I know if it is love/lust?
– Is it about beauty or brains?
– Does the pockets matter?
– Is he/she the one?
The audience was given a chance to ask questions and to answer some of the questions, because it was an event which was about sharing of knowledge, understanding and wisdom.
We had a session called “The Love Corner”, where everyone attended had a chance to visit the corner and picked up questions and sweets. Each question had a sit number which is directed to. The aim was to read a question with its number, then the person seated on that number answers the question. To mention a few:
– What do you do on your first date?
– What is your vision?
– Is it okay to say I Love You on your first date?
– What is your take on women/men?
– How do you know if he/she is the one?
Everyone participated in answering a question that was meant for them. The following were some of the points made by Mr Masemola around the matter “The Road To Marriage”:
“Marriage is when two families are joined together, it is a union of love between two people. It is better to become friends before getting married and also it is advisable to get married at a younger age”, Mr Marcus Masemola.
Mr Marcus Masemola summarized the whole conversation, we are proudly to say that everyone attended was influenced in a positive manner and that their mindset and the way they view marriage life has changed.
The attendees were given a chance to tell us how they felt about the event, and the following are the comments:
– It was beautiful and informative
– We should host another one and start a bit earlier, have specific questions that we deal with and not generalize
– Have games in our program
– Attendees to write questions of their own, and the speaker attend to them as a bulk
– Unpack the needs of a woman and that of a man on our next event.
The event was mostly attended by women, and 95% of the attendees were young people. Everyone had something to say and we all understood the objective of the event. We thank everyone who attended and participated, the event was a success because of your presence. We wouldn’t have achieved the anything without you.
We would like to also give thanks to Phetshile Guesthouse for hosting us, the food and the setup was amazing.
