STG Consulting Enterprise was appointed by Tshwenyane Secondary School to conduct an RCL training on the 10th of April 2021 at their school’s premises. The purpose for the training was to capacitate the school RCL leaders on what is the role of an RCL and what is expected of them as leaders.
The training was supervised by the Principal Mr. Skosana and Mr. Nkosi from Tshwenyane Secondary School. The programme of the day started with Presentations conducted by STG team namely Mr. Marcus Masemola, Ms. Sophia Mogola and Ms. Precious Sibiya.
The following topics where the discussion of the day through presentations made by STG Team:
- Policies, Values, vision, Mission and principles of the school
- Duties and responsibilities of a leader
- Roles of Principal, SGB, Educator and RCL Member
- Importance of discipline and consistency at the School
- A leader’s pledge
STG team engaged with RCL members with regards to the importance of wearing proper school uniform and understanding the school vision and mission, we further shared with the RCL Leaders about their roles and responsibility on leadership as well as engaging all the learners at the school about the importance of knowing and understanding the vision, mission and values of the school.
The School RCL leaders where also addressed on the importance of knowing their responsibilities in the school, classroom and also come up with ways and means to discipline their fellow leaners.
We further shared with the RCL Leaders about how to hold their meetings and we indicated that we shall come back and do a proper presentation where we share with them protocols to invite, facilitate and record their meetings
Tshwenyane secondary school RCL learners are a very interesting team, easy to work with, full of energy and enthusiasm and eager to learn.
A school environment must be conducive so that education can happen effectively and professionally. It is important that all stakeholder who are assign to the school to work together as a collective, in making sure that the vision and mission of the school is achieved.
The Workshop was effective and the Leadership of the School from SMT led by the Principal and SGB assisted us greatly in making sure that this workshop is implemented and successful.
